Terms of Service

Last updated: May 5, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of ForgeBoards (the “Service”), operated by Austin Barikdar (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Accounts

You need an account to use ForgeBoards. You may create one with an email address and password, or by signing in with a supported third-party identity provider (such as Google or GitHub). You are responsible for the activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your credentials confidential. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to create an account.

2. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you create on ForgeBoards — boards, lists, cards, comments, attachments, agent memory, and any other material you input or upload (“Your Content”). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, transmit, display, and process Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you and your collaborators. We do not use Your Content to train machine-learning models.

You are responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the rights to upload it. Do not upload content that infringes intellectual property, violates privacy laws, contains malware, or is illegal where you live or where the Service operates.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to transmit unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or harmful material.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or circumvent technical limits of the Service.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service except through a coordinated disclosure to us.
  • Interfere with other users’ use of the Service, or upload code that disrupts it.
  • Use automation to scrape, mirror, or republish substantial portions of the Service.
  • Resell, sublicense, or rent the Service without our written permission.

4. AI Features

ForgeBoards offers optional AI-assisted features, including agent integrations accessible through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), per-board AI operation quotas, and semantic memory powered by text embeddings. When you use these features:

  • You authorise us to process Your Content as needed to provide the feature (for example, to embed text into vectors stored in your board’s memory).
  • You authorise the AI agent or third-party MCP client you connect to act on your behalf within the permission level you grant it. Such agents cannot exceed your own authorisation on a board.
  • AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for a given purpose. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before relying on it for any consequential decision.

5. Share Links

Editors and owners may generate read-only share links that expose a snapshot of a board to anyone who possesses the link. The link is the capability — anyone you share it with (and anyone they forward it to) can read the board until the link expires or is revoked. You are responsible for who you share these links with and for revoking them when no longer needed.

6. Plans, Pricing, and Quotas

The Service may offer free and paid tiers with different feature sets, storage limits, and AI operation quotas. We may change pricing or quota limits with reasonable notice. For paid plans, fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if your account is dormant for an extended period, or for legal or operational reasons, with reasonable notice except where immediate action is required (for example, to mitigate ongoing abuse).

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AUSTIN BARIKDAR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will give you reasonable notice (for example, by email or an in-product notice). Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the change constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
